Pulling some strings: Ken Maminski, a Northeast resident and captain of the Aqua String Band, performs during the annual Mummers Parade in Center City on New Year’s Day. Maminski led his group to an eighth-place finish out of 16 groups during the festivities, and Maminski took eighth overall in the captain’s competition. Aqua’s theme was Lights Out.
